I really can't adequately express what a pleasure it was to have known Eve all these years. From the regular lunch dates ("Let's order a drinkie-poo") to weekends at the caravan at Felixstowe ("Bar's open at six, don't be late!"), she was a ray of sunshine. No matter how much physical discomfort or difficulty she experienced in later years, Eve always insisted on going out, rather than staying in, such was her love of being around people. She, more than anyone else I know, embodied that old phrase "Carpe diem" – Seize The Day. Until we meet again darling xxx.
